This summer the counselors are offering for 8th grade students to take summer school. 8th graders have the chances to take the P.E.portion for high school over the summer. The first semester starts on June 3-June 21 the second also begins on June 24-July 16 the schools that will be holding the summer school is Highland, La Cueva, and West Mesa. Classes start at 7:45am and end at 12:00pm.The price for summer school is $250.00, but if students have free lunch then the price goes down.
The students that go to JMMS can take P.E over the summer so where they don't have to take P.E when their go to high school. Students have to have at least one year of P.E.Students in high school. Students will be getting more info on this when they show up for the first day of summer school. They will being getting their courses from the teacher and room number. So, that’s why APS offers 8th graders that are going into 9th to take summer school. This goes for any high school a student is going to with in APS. The counselors from Cibola High School came and mentioned about the summer school when they were handing out registration cards. Shelia Barbour is in charge of the summer school information.
