Ms. Olson’s sewing class is also working on various projects and learning different ways to sew. This week March 2 they are working on an emoji face pillow project and are learning to sew with sewing machines.
Rio Grande High school recently donated sewing machines to Ms.Olson. So her class now has brand new sewing machines. According to Ms. Olson so far they have done lady bug pin cushions which have been the most creative ones In all of Ms.Olson's years of teaching. Overall Ms.Olson believes her two classes teach good life skills the kids can use later in their life. In Foods class they learn how to make stuff for themselves. In sewing class they learn how to do sewing and the making of clothes.
