The Parent Involvement Group (PIG) organized the sale of Valentines called Candy Grams. The PIG group’s President is Diana Sanchez and the Vice President is Christina Mills and the Parent Involvement Goal Team is hosted by Mrs. Everett a 7th grade social studies teacher and Mr. McNeely, a Special Ed Science teacher.
The PIG group puts together school events and fundraisers. For instance they put together the candy grams, Fall Festival, and they also helped out with the mattress fundraiser. This group is a bunch of parents helping the school. All the money they get from those events goes to the school.
The candy grams are little valentines that include a candy or chips(depending on what the buyer chose for the receiver) with a little paper saying who it is from. They were $2 each and you received your grams if anyone got any for you in your advocacy classes on Valentines Day.
If any parents would like to join the PIG group, all you have to do is attend the meetings. The latest meeting was on Thursday 2/27 at 5:30pm in the library. They were discussing the March dance, the student store, the Mattress event, End of the year events, and open PIG positions for the 2020/2021 school year. If you would like to go to any future meetings, they will be on the last Thursday of every month at 5:30 and in the library. For more information, please contact [email protected].
